- Wash & soak Dal for half n hour to 1 hour..
- Now blend onion, green chilli, turmeric powder n red chilli powder with half cup of water..
- Now in a pot heat oil n put cumin seeds, when they starts crackling.. add ginger garlic paste n saute for a min.. then add onion paste n cook on medium flame..
- When you can smell the aroma of Masala add tomatoes n salt.. cover the lid n cook until tomatoes becomes soft.. then bhunofy it..
- When oil n masala separates then add soaked daal n water n cook it on high flame for 3 to 4 mins, when it starts boiling, cook on low flame until moong dal tenders...
- Now add spinach to it n cook for another 10 mins on low flame.. you can add water as required to it..
- Now add whole spice powder & roasted cumin powder, chopped cilantro n mix it well n turn of the flame..
- Now prepare baghar... for that heat ghee in a pan, add sliced onions n fry until golden brown...
- Now add red button chillies, cumin seeds & curry leaves.. let them fry for a min n pour it to the dal...
- Boil rice with salt n water, strain them when they are done n put them on dumm for 5 mins. Now they are ready to serve with moong dal palak. Enjoy !.
